Free Delivery

Prices shown on our website include Free Home Delivery anywhere within Mainland UK on all orders over £500. For delivery to any overseas customer (This includes Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scottish Islands and Channel Islands) we will deliver to a nominated mainland GB address at no additional charge e.g. a port. Onward shipping from that point is the responsibility of the customer.
All home delivery items are transported directly to your home in specially equipped furniture vans and are carried in by trained furniture delivery staff.
It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure the product fits through any doors and into the home, and to assemble it if required.
Smaller items may be delivered by Parcel Force, TNT or a similar carrier

All Baker Furnishings web sales are special orders (i.e. specially ordered from the factory)

Items will be delivered within Delivery Time quoted from the date of your order, unless we agree with you an extended period for delivery immediately upon receipt of your order. Delivery times are approximate and are based on lead times quoted by our suppliers and manufacturers. Should we be unable to delivery within said period, or within any extended period agreed with you in writing, we will – if we can – offer you a new delivery date.
Please also note that delays may sometimes occur due to manufacturers’ holiday times. Always contact us if you are thinking of placing an order between mid July and August or over the December period. Unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for manufacturers’ delays.

Baker Furnishings will not be responsible for any other losses, costs, damages or charges that you may suffer if we delay in supplying or do not supply those products.
At the time of delivery you will be required to validly sign off at the delivery of the products after which time the products become your sole responsibility.
IMPORTANT: Valid forms of ID may be requested by delivery staff upon delivery.

Cancellation will not be accepted once goods have been reserved, stored, cut or despatched by us or by our suppliers.

What if I’m not ready to take delivery of my furniture when it’s ready?

If you are having work done to your home, please be aware that building and decorating projects can be delayed. If you are unable to take delivery of your furniture when it is ready, we will store if for you free of charge for 21 days. Beyond this period, we will charge a storage fee of £25 per week.

Where a delivery date has been agreed with our carrier but the customer is not present to receive the delivery we reserve the right to charge the customer a minimum of £25 to cover part of the cost of the failed delivery. No claims will be accepted for inconvenience, loss etc caused by unexpected or unavoidable delays in delivery.
